Beginning Golfers

If you’re new to golf and have not had golf lessons or formal golf instruction, I’d recommend reading the posts below that cover some of the foundational basics like grip and setup and then begin working on building your swing after that.

How To Practice the Golf Swing to Get the Most from Golf Lessons
Golf Grip – How To Grip a Golf Club
Golf Setup Lesson Part 1
Golf Setup Lesson Part 2 – Preshot Routine

Intermediate Golfers

If you’re not quite sure what to focus on in your golf swing training, check out the original 3-part series “Grip, Flat Wrist and Release.” These foundational golf instruction videos are still 3 of our most watched golf swing videos on YouTube and most read articles on the Herman Williams Golf blog. These three topics capture a significant number of the mistakes we see on the private lesson tee every day, and a good grasp of these will go a long way toward helping you hit straighter, more solid golf shots.

Seasoned Golfers

If you’re a more advanced golfer, you may simply want to troubleshoot a problem you are having. Specific articles and videos are available from how to make a weight shift to how to stop shanking to, of course, how to stop slicing. Just dive in and peruse the titles below or do a search in the search bar on the top right of the page.

If you have suggestions for posts you’d like to see or information you’d love to see provided, please feel free to contact me me and let me know or leave a comment at the bottom of one of the instruction articles.

Thanks. Now, what are you waiting for? Go get Hermanized!:)
